I THANK YOU TWICE

I thank you my God, I asked for a son
and you blessed me with two, thy will was done.
I looked to the heavens, with tears in my eyes
and I thanked you my God for my two little guys.
Yes, I thank you my God, I thank you twice.

As the years went by my love for you grew in my two little guys.
I could see the love blossom in their sweet little eyes.
Before I knew it my sons had grown stronger, needing me no longer.

Taking wives of their own, I could see how they've grown.
So I look to the heavens with tears in my eyes
and I thank you my God for my two older guys.
Yes I thank you my God, I thank you twice.

Now at the end of each day as I kneel down to pray,
I thank you my God
for my handsome young guys and their sweet, lovely wives.
Yes I thank you my God, I thank you twice.
